Here are some helpful links to Government of Canada resources for those seeking employment or a new career.

  • Job Bank – Explore the integrated Job Bank to find your next career opportunity.   You can search for jobs by type, title, location, full-time or part-time.  You can also find access to government supported job training opportunities. You can even set up alerts for new opportunities as they arise.
  • School to Work Transition Tool – Informed education choices early in life can help you obtain the skills and experience necessary to find work quickly, avoid unnecessary debt and get a better start to your career. Try the School to Work Transition Tool to see how certain education choices can maximize your options for future career opportunities.
  • Career Quizzes – Career quizzes and tests can help you choose, change or develop your career. You can use them as a starting point in your journey to get to know yourself better and explore the wide range of career opportunities available to you.  One quiz will assist you in understanding your personality better and how it plays a role in career selection.  The other quiz helps you explore career opportunities.  Take the quizzes.
  • Job Profiles – Have you ever wanted to know what you need to do a certain job or how much it pays?  Use the Job Profiles tool to find out more about that specific career and the available opportunities.  Just search the job and enter a location (city or province) and you will find out more about the common education requirements, the average pay, available jobs and what skills are most suitable.
